Hey all. I was working on the car today and working by the alternator. The knock sensor fell out. A long time ago when Iw as installing the oil pressure sender, I was told that the knock sensor was the oil light sensor. (How wrong was that!) So I rigged up the T-fiitings and everything else, and it was wrong. Well, I turns out that the threads on the sensor are torn up, and it won't screw into the block anymore. Is this going to cause problems? I have it in there pretty tight, but it doens't come close to going all the way in. Should I get a new one? ANyone have any spare knock sensors (n/t)?

Re: Knock Sensor
well the microphone might not be in the right position to pick up the sounds, so it might be a bad thing. Not sure how much of a difference that will make though.
