New Paint Job?

So I was wondering how much it would cost to get my white 1989 Oldsmobile Painted Black.

Now I do relize that's a foolish question because paint jobs come as cheap as $300 and as much as $10,000 and Up. But I was wondering, with black paint, what should I expect my cost to be? It doesn't have to be absolutly perfect; but it should be flat enough to give a good shine to it. No Body work needed.

Any ideas?

roughtly around 500-750 but it also depends on where you live. and which black you want etc...

That's really not that terrible; I would be really unspecific about what kind of black it was. I live in Idaho though, so i don't know what that would do.

yea a basic paint job is not expense the one's in the thousands are when you get into pearl and chameleian paint

I found a place that does basic paint for 200$, and the one with built in clear coat for about 450$. Its in Bay area. I am taking my mazda there once my new fender gets here.

I think Macco does a full respray for $250, but i'm sure its a pretty bad job.

yea macco does pretty bad job i heard somewhere on here that it's there sprayers that they use that give it a crappy look

My grandma took her car to maaco in like 98 to get her Grand Marquis painted after she had some body work done. It came in white, it left red. I shit you not... RED. Who paints a Mercury Grand Marquis red??? And of all people, a 70 year old woman!?!?

Yes, they repainted it, but that taught me an invaluable lesson about goin to maaco
