Question Exhaust Question

about a month ago I had 2 flowmaster mufflers put on and had them take out the resonator. I got annoyed by it so I had stock mufflers put back on. But no resonator. Would putting a resonator on make it more quiet? The car still has a rumble to it. Is there any way I can get rid of that? I just want a nice, smooth, quiet ride. Any suggestions?

Re: Exhaust Question

Try a glasspack straight through muffler. Has no restrictions and will lower the noise level. Relatively inexpensive and can be purchased from most autoparts stores or online from Jegs or Summit.

Re: Exhaust Question

Wow that is a first! But "silence is golden". Your ears will appreciate it when you get older.

I prefer the stock resonator because it helps get rid of secondary frequencies and illiminates any popping type sound you may get during deceleration. You will appreciate having the resonator installed when you take a long trips. When I switch between my GTP (noisy) and Regal GS (quiet) it is like going to heaven.

It is either that or to hell Shep.

Three things certain in life. Taxes, death and your hearing going to pot when you get older. Best to protect it earlier in life.
