vtec controller question

My friend gave me a vtec controller (APEXI Digital AVC-R). I have a b20 in my crx. Since my engine is non vtec, is there any way of knowing if the controller turns on?? The reason is that i wanna sell it and i want to know if it works... Thanks for your help.~!

Re: vtec controller question

Hook it up to your car and get it up to the set rpm on the controller, and check for a signal off the thing.

i completely agree with FrodoGT, if you get signal, if it turns on, then it's good, save it and go b20/vtec
