Nosliw's Kyosho Mercedes-Benz CLS500s Desert Silver 1/18

I am currently in possesion of two gold kyosho cls identical to each other. i need to ship one back today because one of them is the replacement to the missing rear A/C vent car.

the trunk is really well detailed. they even made the little plastic trim that goes around the armrest opening for a ski sack. they have the power trunk red button on the trunklid. headlights are really well detailed. and as popular as the 5.0 liter v-8 was to produce on diecast mercedes this one i must say is the most detailed. the interior is also very nice with carpet everywere. metal rotors are on the brakes. seperate chrome trim pieces that have the benz 3 point star and "CLS500" are on the rear of this car. this is a truly accuratetly detailed car that is astonishing.

most detailed 5.0 V-8 engine out of all of my Mercedes

look at the plastic framed ski sack hole for skis

this is the car that's mising the rear a/c vent

the black one is the maisto cls

I thought this model doesn't look good in biege but your pics prove me wrong. It looks great in this color! Nice addition!

Re: Nosliw's Kyosho Mercedes-Benz CLS500s Desert Silver 1/18

well i was debating if i shoul'dve gotten it in dark grey or biege. i then realized that i didn't have any models in beige so i decided to get that color. but i may get the dark grey too in the future.

Re: Nosliw's Kyosho Mercedes-Benz CLS500s Desert Silver 1/18

^agreed but I don't really worry about that, I just get my favorite color when choosing a model, after all it's too much work to paint it over and too costly to get it in another color later on... btw I thoght the red interior was ugly too but it really isn't that bad as I thought it was after I got it.

Re: Nosliw's Kyosho Mercedes-Benz CLS500s Desert Silver 1/18

How would you rate the maisto version compared to the Kyosho? I mean it seems prety well put together and has nice details, yet costs like 3-4 times cheaper then kyosho. The only bad thing about the maisto is it only come in black and dark blue, no light colours.

Re: Nosliw's Kyosho Mercedes-Benz CLS500s Desert Silver 1/18

well compared to the maisto...
the maisto isn't that bad. the interior is nice witha plastic headliner. the fake wood looks nice as well. the only really noticable difference is that there isn't any carpet and the rear a/c doesn't look very accurate.the exterior of the maisto one is just okay compared to the kyosho. the grille is too clunky compared to the kyosho. you can see many imperfections in the mold of the body of the maisto. it is very uneven. many bumps. the chrome trim is just painted silver and looks muc better on the kyosho. but it really just depends on how much you like the car to see which one you'g like to get. the maisto does hawever have rear opening doors. i'd recommend the kyosho.
