Re: Pro Touring 66' Mustang
Cool! Are you going to worry about those crappy AMT axles and undercarriage?

Re: Pro Touring 66' Mustang
Dave,
If this is going to simply be a shelf peice, or a dash ornament at car shows, I wouldn't worry about the undercarriage. With some tricks picked up from Marc's (Okiemodelbuilder's) threads the undercarriage can be fairly nice without fitting a whole new chassis to the body.

Re: Pro Touring 66' Mustang
Hey Flathead Dave,
Here's a link to my Fotki with some pics of my AMT '66 Mustang FB. http://public.fotki.com/MarcNellis/a..._ford_mustang/ I need to get back to work on this one soon. It doesn't matter to me if the chassis is "full detail" or not. In fact, I prefer to build the old school kits with the metal axles. It's easier to get that killer stance. I use stub axles in the front to eliminate the "hole in the motor" look. Just flat black paint and Alclad metallizers for exhaust and driveline. It's a real clean look and many modelers I know actually like the look. It won't always win style points at a judged show, but that's not what I'm after. What are you doing for the rear spoiler? I cut and grafted the spoiler from an AMT '68 Shelby GT500 to mine. Look thru my Fotki for any other hidden jewels and be sure to email or PM me with any specific questions. http://public.fotki.com/MarcNellis/
