Coolant
I have a simple question. There are two hoses coming out of the engine coolant cap. One goes to the thermostat housing, and is the other just a drip hose for overflow? Or does it actually connect somewhere too? Thanks for your help.

Re: Coolant
If it is the other hose from your coolant reserve it suppose to just hang so that if it gets to full it can empty.

Re: Coolant
The other hose should go to coolant resevoir. (sp?)

Re: Coolant
I had to just replace my radiator cap because when my engine got hot the coolant would flow into the reserve but when it colded down it would suck air in instead of the coolant from the reserve so i had air in my lines.

Re: Coolant
Sounds like the same thing that my Dodge Spirit did but my heater core was clogged. When the coolant got hot the coolant would flow out of the radiator and into the resevoir, then when that would over flow it would pour right onto the alternator.
