no, no, and no.
Tell him to keep his f22. You don't need it and you can't use it. Look for B series, H series, and D series motors for your sol. |

Re: f22a4 in a 94 del sol s?
hey, i know there are other more practical swaps, but this is a free engine with a crazy amount of torque, especially since it has dc sport headers already on it and a lightweight flywheel...but anyways, i've heard from other people that its the same thing as doing an h series swap. But what i'm wondering now, if i actually go ahead and do this, is would i need new axles to support the new engine? Thats kinda important and i'm unsure of the details. Also, would i need a new fuel pump since i would be upgrading from a 1.5 to a 2.2? Thanks for the help.

Re: f22a4 in a 94 del sol s?
IT WILL NOT WORK. PERIOD. END. F series motors DO NOT bolt up to an EG chassis, and with the amount of money and custom fabrication it would take to make it work, you are better off getting a B18/B16 and building it. There's a reason the motor is free. It's NOT powerful. The only F series motor worth a damn is the F20C found in the S2000, and no, it will not fit either. (actually... I know how to make it work, but that's my bastard child project that I'm working on in the backyard and I'm not ready to unveil yet) H, B, or D series for you. Stick with it.
