Q about my car

Just got my civic a couple months ago, and so far all i have done is an Injen Short air intake. My next step was going to be a cat back... fairly standard procedure. I was lookin under my car, and in the engine bay and cant seem to find a cat. Right after my exhaust manifold there is this stout heat sheilded peice of pipe, but it looks to small to be a cat. Do i even have a catalitic, or however you spell it, converter, or am i just retarded?

Yeah, you got it. Its below your car, right under the downpipe. If you look near the engine from underneath, you cant miss it.

Yeah i found it yesterday. From the angle i was lookin at it earlier that day it just loooked like a bend in the pipe.
