What does this statement mean?

No truck, motor vehicle or commercial trailer which exceeds the rated capacity of one and one-half (1 1/2) tons shall be stored or parked on any lot.

What is the rated capacity? This statements seems to identify most full size trucks - Silverado, F150, Ram 1500 etc.

GVWR, on the door frame, means maximum loaded weight of vehicle, in your case, or it could mean the cargo carrying load which is the difference between the gvwr and the vehicles net weight, unclear statement by whoever is making that statement, can't be 3k must mean a vehicle who's carry capacty is over 3k.
