coil pack to distributor?

just a thought . can/will a distributor fit in my car its a 90 4 cyl cavalier? i think i have narrowed down that what ever tels the coil pack to spark wen it shoud isnt doin its job.i get spark just 1 and 4 spark at the same time and than 2 and 3 spark . i get lots a backfiring . so i was just contimplating putting a distributor in it but need some info on if it does . and what distrib it woud be . and wen the old 4 cyl had one if the intake was the same or not theres not a lota room under it but i think its almost e nough to fit a dist . any help woud be gr8 thanks. hope you can all understand my question this time seems no one understood the last .

There is no provision for a distributor.
Just like there is no provision for a mechanical fuel pump.

so i cant plase a dis in the hole inder the # 4 intake? the hole is there it has a shaft thats caped off and a gear on it that conects to the cam.i can change the throtl body out to a carb if i needed a fule pump i can go with a external wall mount

Why don't you just fix the DIS and what sounds to be possible timing issue?
