custom '53 F100
This is the Road Tough '53 Ford P/U
The wheels are from the 1/16 scale Corvette plastic kit ! The engine came from the Ertl 427 Cobra as did the steering wheel. The suspension was lowered considerably to get the "down in the weeds" look ! :bandit: Mike

That is sweet!!!! How did you manage to get those wheels on it? Also, if you wouldn't mind, could you tell me how difficult or easy it is to modify 1:18 diecasts? Which manufacturer makes the easiest modifiable models? Thanks.

I don't know which mfgr is easiest to modify but cars from the same mfgr usually use the same method for attaching the parts,specially the wheels.
I don't look for ease of modifying when I buy,if it's something that needs customizing I just do it ! I would have reservations about major modifications on a $70 or more diecast ! I buy cars that are on sale that may have parts I need ! The wheels on my pickup were ground down to match the backing plate surface on the truck then glued on with epoxy. When lowering the truck the steering function is almost always disabled,so mine are posed in a turned position. :bandit: Mike
