Question Emergency Brake Adjustment

I have to pull so hard I'm afraid I'm gonna break the cable or the handle to get it to stop rolling on an incline. I've adjusted the emergency brake and that didn't help. Does it sound like I need new shoes or drums? Anyone else had this problem?

Re: Emergency Brake Adjustment

Have you tried to replace the brake pads ?

If it's adjusted all the way out the it's time for a brake job. Even if the Jeep stops when you press the brake. All vehicles use more of the front brake to stop and the back brake is for the emergency brake.
