trans fluid

can i fill the trans, 86 manual b 2000, through the shifter opening in the cab and the specs from autozone indicate that it takes only 1.5 quarts? does not seem like alot? any clues thanks edsel...

Yep thats how i put mine in after i rebuilt it in my basement. I suggest a flush. Run the 1.5 quarts for a week and change it again.
