Keyless entry problems

Does anyone have instructions on how to reprogram a keyless entry remote for a 1996 Eagle Talon Tsi
Help would be appreciated

Re: Keyless entry problems

I have heard instructions on how you can do it yourself by turning the key in a certain sequence of ON-ACC-ON etc., but have never actually had this work or heard a high success rate on it.

The easiest way is to have the dealer program it with the OBD-II. Sure, they will probably charge if you don't know one of the mechanics or something, but it's the only way I know of that's 100%. You can try a search, I think the other instructions have been posted before.

Re: Keyless entry problems

I neeed a remote control for my 97 GSx and they told me 150 bucks. I was okay but then they said another 150 for programming. Dea;er will screw you over big time. Try finding the manual way of programming it.

Impact damage or water damage could easily kill your remote. My spare remote has a big ass burn on it. Looks like the guy before me dropped it on the motor while checking out under the hood. Haha suprisingly it still works though.

Re: Keyless entry problems

YOu have to short 2 pins on the car to put it into program mode. check out tuners for more information they tell you how to reprogram it.

Thats insane. Get a used one off Ebay, mine was like $25 shipped and I had a friend of mine who works at a dealer borrow the tool to program it and do it for me for free.
