2001 wheel bearing noise I think

How can U tell which wheel bearing is the bad one? It isn't bad enough that it makes big noise, you can just feel it through the steering wheel when you are backing up.It feels like the tires are grinding the pavement when backing up & turning the steering wheel.Any help out there? thx tom

is your truck a 4X4? If so it may not be a wheel bearing at all.

to check the wheel bearings, as well as ball joints, raise the front tires off of the ground. grab the tire at the 12-O-clock and 6-O-clock positions, and try to "wiggle" it(push/pull at those positions). if the tire moves, have a helper watch to see where the movement is at.
