you're thinking of the D16zc......it's DOHC.....it makes 130hp i think.....it's far inferior to the B16...arguably

i have a 91 crx and i did the 1.6zc motor swap and i love it. and for the idiot that wrote that it is a dohc should stik to his slow camaro. i have had my zc down at the track running 13.8's. it has a lot of top end and is a good first motor swap for the crx in my opinion.

a ZC engine is DOHC jackass. you need to stop bullshittin' cause unless you have hella mods then there is no way you got down the quarter in 13.8 I know a guy who has gone 13's in a zc powered rex, but he owns a performance shop. so unless your him i don't buy it.

i know my zc is a sohc, i did not say it was not worked or anythng. i know its about 30 less horsepower than the b-16 stock. i have some mods done to it but doesn't seem like you would be interested in hearing them. so i am hoping i see a bunch of camaros so i can tear each and everyone of them up cause you think there fast. i have the time slip to prove that it has been 13.8's in the quarter. you should find out what is done to someones car before you jump on them and get beat like so many other v-8. as for the neons i think they are the slowest, cheapest, and heaviest cars out there so they don't bother me much.

The First ZC engine was a DOHC, but in 92 there were SOHC VTEC and non VTEC versions produced. They are still basicly a D16y, but for some reason have ZC stamped on the block.

Ands its quite possible to get a SOHC N/A ZC engine in a light weight 4g Civic/CRX into the 13s. Its been done before by a on old member here called 13secondcivic.
But it takes a lot of time, money and experianced engine work.



91crxzc unless you want to post some of those timeslips or mention the work that has been done to your engine then no one will ever believe you. Especialy if you persue your current attitude.

ok.....i didn't know that ZC could be a SOHC. Generally when someone says ZC they mean the DOHC motor. BTW.....don't hate on camaro's. 13.8's in a camaro is easy....watch out for those V8 cars that actually have mods!!! also just to clarify i'm not hating on your car....if you do have a 13 sec. rex, then that's cool......your the one who started talking smack and being a jerk. basically i think that if your car goes fast then it's cool, if you act like an ass then your not cool:monkeypis
