Manual transfer case won't shift into 4hi
My '96 Jimmy won't shift into 4hi. I have the manual style, floor shifter and when I try to pull it into 4hi, I get a LOT of resistance and it will not reach the detent for 4hi.
I know that I had a battery leak before which has corroded that actuator cable coming from under the battery tray. That cable will slide approximately 1/4". But I think that is the cable that runs from the actuator to the front diff and not the one running from the shifter handle to the transfer case. Or am I wrong? Any thoughts as to what it could be?
