98 Blazer slight vibration/noise during turns

I have replaced the cv shaft and upper and lower ball joints. I still have a slight vibration noise when I turn right. Left does not seem to affect it that much. Is there something else that can cause this like an outer hub or something? I was thinking it might be the part that the cv shaft slides into on the wheel. I just don't want to go buy parts I don't need. Any suggestions from the forum experts would be appreciated. This forum has been a big help. Thank you to all who put in the effort.

Shifted plies in tires, or unblanaced tires can do this too. Is the shimmying and shakin' accompanied by any noises?

Re: 98 Blazer slight vibration/noise during turns

I have changed the tires just to make sure that wasn't an issue. It is a vibratiion like you would feel if the bearings or u-joint was going bad. It does have a whirring type of sound. I just replaced the ball joints and it ripped the lower ball joint out by breaking all 4 lower bolts. I replaced the cv shaft again. Still the same noise. It seems that when pressure is applied during a turn I feel and hear a slight vibration or whirring sound. Is there any other bearing or something that would cause this?

How many mles are on the truck? Does it make a noise like an airplane taking off (that is the closest I can come to describing it)? It could be that your bearing is going out on one of the wheels.
I just recently had toreplace the drivers side front hub (bearings cannot be replaced - must do whole hub assembly).

Re: 98 Blazer slight vibration/noise during turns

It does not have a sound unless it is turning left. Truning right does not have the same problem.ave replaced most of the parts When it 189000 miles. I have replaced many parts. It was in an accident where it ran up on a curb I think. I was not in the car. But since then it has had problems with the passenger side. I took it in to a frame shop and they told me it was fine. But I still have the problem. Is there a bearing in the outer hub that I missed? Or where the ABS brake system is? I have even done the brakes. I am at a loss as to what this could be. Thank you for all your help.

Re: 98 Blazer slight vibration/noise during turns

If it happens when you are turning left, it sounds like it is the right hub assembly. When you turn left it puts the weight and pressure on the right side causing it to make the noise.
Search this forum for "hub assembly" and you will find some good information on swapping it out.
The hub runs about $180 - 200, and you will need to "BORROW" the socket set from Advanced, O'Reillys, Autozone or one of the other stores. That is unless you want to buy a set for about $40. You will need the 36mm deep socket to pull the hub.
