Possible SCAM? Help

"Hello Mate,
I was very impressed with the advert of the item you placed on this Ebay,l have read through and understand the condition of the product, I am interested and buying for my son as a Xmas gift who is in abroad for an exchange program.I will be offering you US $1,600.00 including shipping cost via USPS Global Express Mail if you can ship worldwide.I will remit the money through Paypal because of highly scam act all over the globe.Could you please send me a payment request from paypal so as to enable me proceed with the payment ASAP,I want you to end the auction immediately to confirm to me your readiness to sell the product to me."

Regarding my ps3 i'm selling. What do you guys think. A new paypal scam. or is this legit? I wouldn't ship untill I am comfirmed by my bank that payment has been recieved.

Re: Possible SCAM? Help

sounds like a scam, it's slightly better than the ones i get though. usually if they dont reference the product by name i consider it a scam.

Re: Possible SCAM? Help

I'm not sure where it would be a scam, i'm not sending them money, if it's in my account, isn't the money mine?

Re: Possible SCAM? Help

Scam...they have some way of doing a chargeback or something, but just tell him to win the auction. Plus it's against Ebay terms if you end the auction early without a Buy it Now price.

Plus you could probably get more than $1600 for it anyways.

Re: Possible SCAM? Help

Plain and simple, it's a scam. All those douche bags write similar garbage, and people still keep falling for it.

Re: Possible SCAM? Help

Tell him to Direct Deposit the money into your account, and wait until it clears. No escrow. I can't see how he can scam you.

Then....don't send him shit!

Scam the scammers.

Re: Possible SCAM? Help

First and foremost!!!!!!!!!!!! The fractured and disjointed English, HELLO!!!!!!! That is the first sign of a scammer, and since the offerer is "Aussie", the offerer would have a much better command of English!!!!!!! Fuggetaboudit!!!!!!!!!

If he's an Aussie, find out where he lives. If it's in Sydney, I'll sort it out for you.
