Post How does this 2.3 stroker look?

Was wondering what people think of this motor?
Stage 3 2.3 Stroker....
All Built already

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB..._BIN_Stores_IT

Check out the bottom of the page also, they have a 850hp stage 3 6 bolt motor....mad nice but really REALLY expensive (but I can always dream...)

Thanks for the advice...

Read in there... it says its an Evo 8 engine so it wont work for our cars. Way too much IMO, you could build one for a lot less than that. It did look good though, the parts n' shit they used.

Just a question...why does it say DSM in a few places on the page?

Ebay advertising. They use any words they can to sucker people in and get more hits on their page so more people have a chance to buy it. It worked on you didn't it? Haha.

Re: How does this 2.3 stroker look?

Under "see more items from this seller" there are a bunch of DSM options. They do seem expensive though, and I have no experience with Jackson Auto Machine with DSMs. They are a pretty big Honda vendor as far as I know though. I think I would stick to the standard DSM vendors, like SBR, buschur, etc.

Re: How does this 2.3 stroker look?

I've been hearing alot about this JAM lately and they seem to be a pretty good company (even though they work on Honduhs and all), but they seem to be very expensive. I'd say if you wanted to spend all that money it probably wouldn't hurt to go with that setup, but you could find the same setup for quite a bit cheaper at other places.

How much are they paying you to advertise for them?

I was going to ask the same question.

I say SBR FTW. Even the stage 3 short block from them is only like $3700. Or you could just rip yours apart. IIRC, you should be able to build yourself a stroker bottom end for like $2000-$2500.

Re: How does this 2.3 stroker look?

I was talking about the short block itself, not just the stroker kit. I do gotta say though, that stage 3 kit looks pretty sweet. I like how you can pick your compression ratio.

If I have to rebuild the bottom end on my car, its staying 2.0. Yeah, bigger turbos will like the extra displacement, but I wont get that big into turbos.
