Re: How does this 2.3 stroker look?
Read in there... it says its an Evo 8 engine so it wont work for our cars. Way too much IMO, you could build one for a lot less than that. It did look good though, the parts n' shit they used.

Re: How does this 2.3 stroker look?
Under "see more items from this seller" there are a bunch of DSM options. They do seem expensive though, and I have no experience with Jackson Auto Machine with DSMs. They are a pretty big Honda vendor as far as I know though. I think I would stick to the standard DSM vendors, like SBR, buschur, etc.

Re: How does this 2.3 stroker look?
I've been hearing alot about this JAM lately and they seem to be a pretty good company (even though they work on Honduhs and all), but they seem to be very expensive. I'd say if you wanted to spend all that money it probably wouldn't hurt to go with that setup, but you could find the same setup for quite a bit cheaper at other places.

Re: How does this 2.3 stroker look?
You could try ffwdconnection.com thats where i orderded my stroker kit from. They only do 4g63's and they are pretty cheap. They use good parts too, darren is really knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have.

I say SBR FTW. Even the stage 3 short block from them is only like $3700. Or you could just rip yours apart. IIRC, you should be able to build yourself a stroker bottom end for like $2000-$2500. |

The stage 3 kit from sbr is $1500. Thats the route I'm going to go.

Re: How does this 2.3 stroker look?
I was talking about the short block itself, not just the stroker kit. I do gotta say though, that stage 3 kit looks pretty sweet. I like how you can pick your compression ratio.
If I have to rebuild the bottom end on my car, its staying 2.0. Yeah, bigger turbos will like the extra displacement, but I wont get that big into turbos. |

Re: How does this 2.3 stroker look?
I want to go with a stroker for the added low end torque
