DSM experts! How can I get more Horse power?

HI,
I started a thread on how can I add a stock GST turbo to my 95 '"RS" eclipse? and well that dream is over now

Now I'm woundering on how can I add more horse power with out going inside of the engine??

So far I have a cold air intake, headers, 2.5" cat back exhaust. I'm thinking of buying a MSD inginion system and maybe some better fuel injectors? but I wanna buy everything as a package so I can do the job right!

any help will be greatly apreciated....

thanx Vic

Re: DSM experts! How can I get more Horse power?

MSD ignition will give you a stronger spark, but it won't have any effect until you're pushing some major horsepower. Pointless mod IMO.

Bette fuel injectors are also pointless until you need them, they will do nothing for you.

The link that clipsekid listed is about the best upgrade path you'll find. The 420a isn't a very good "power adder" engine without the turbo. You've done about all the bolt on mods that you can. You could try get a safc-II and maybe tune it a little, but I'm guessing that you don't know much about engines so that would be a good mod for you.

why is your "dream" about turboing your car not an option....

Its not that hard and can be done fairly cheap, only problem you would have is building the motor if you wanted to run more than 5psi safely...

That's like coming over to America from Iraq and say that you're part of Al-Queda (spelling?) J/P man.

You can run anywhere from 6-8 very safely on a 420a as long as you don't beat the fuck out of it for extended periods of time. Any more than that and you'll be seeing pieces of cast iron where they're not supposed to be.

Re: DSM experts! How can I get more Horse power?

I guess that did sound alittle harsh ....I auctually bought this car really cheap from one of my friends. He gave me a good price and it's the perfect test bed for a HOK candy apple red, 2 LCD's (one being 20" on the passenger side) and many more things. BUT I do verry little engine mods that's why I was here trying to get some help from you guys!
