Door won't open

My 1993 s-10 blazer back passenger door is stuck closed. I try to lock then unlock it, but it still won't budge. it's like the lock rod won't engage or disengage. I can't access anything in the door panel unless the door is opened to take the door panel off. Does anyone know what I can do to not get the locksmith involved?

Thank you,

Madmonk210

Re: Door won't open

If they haven't changed the design since 85 you can remove the door panel with just a little bit of invisible damage.
Remove the screws all around, and then there are just 2 screws left (at the top on the outside) I was easily able to rip these 2 out while lifting the panel, and there's no way to see the damage unless you happen to be taking the panel off again. It's easy to take off now when nessary as well.
