Need more torque
all right Im planning on building a B16 SiR1 engine without turbo, what are some things I can add to make more torque? I can make plenty of hp but it lacks torque.

Re: Need more torque
civichbsi91 is correct, Im trying to build a bad ass N/A motor. there are some punks runnin around in beaters pushing like 7psi and think they are bad because thier cars go "psssst" when they shift. Ill make em think twice about fuckin with a non boosted car

Re: Need more torque
b16 = the torqueless wonder and pretty much no matter the n/a build its going to stay that way...you can get MORE torque...but not much
now thats considering if you want to keep your b16 block on there...by getting a b20 block and creating b20/vtec you should be getting the torque your looking for...just make sure to build it right and after some bolt-ons and cams you should be able to compete with 7lbs of boost |

Re: Need more torque
dont bother trying to get torque with a b16. nitrous is pretty much the onlyt way to gain lots of low end torque. your motor has extreme potential. you dont need torque to go fast. if you want to stay N/A then, get some skunk2 stage 2 cams, you can find them for about $300 used. and mabie some nitrous, and you will seee arouhd 250whp with a 55shot.
njitrous ius an awesome torque gainer, from a 80shot i gained 72whp and 92tq
