e-brake light

just recently, my e-brake light stopped turning off when i let the brake down. it stays on at all times now, whether the e-brake is pulled or not. does any know why this is happening and how to fix it?

nvm, i decided to look at my manual and it said to check the fluid, i was a little low, but now im good and the lights off. sorry
