Jbom, with stands for Jbody of Michigan a car club i hang out with sometimes had there anual BBQ on saturday, there was a really nice turnout.

But at first glance I thought...

Dang, somebody with a Cavalier really spent some money on Corvette Z06 brake upgrades and some Z06 wheels...




Then I saw the next picture and thought:


nevermind... it is a Corvette Z06... stupid Cavaliers.





Kidding, some nice looking Jbodys. I like that Silver STI, never seen on in silver in the new bodystyle, I 've got to say, it looks alot better in silver than it does in Blue.

really nice turn out for the bbq. i do have to agree, the new sti looks better in silver than blue. some of those cars were like damn to me, haven't seen any real cars latley since erone up here is basically rice or are sleeper. im actually surprise on how many people buy the supercharger from gm that doesn't viod the warrenty. diddnt know so many people used it. its nice to see that rice doesn't stick to 'jdm' cars. that decal is also pretty funny. jdm = fad.

man i didn't even know you could buy a cobra yet... i thought it was being released in july-august....

did he tell you the numbers he's putting down on that beast?

Well it was in Michagin so maybe a Ford executive took it as a test/show kinda thing.

Or maybe its a fake, iono.

Either way the front looks badass on those GT500's, I love how they rearranged the fog lights, looks a lot meaner IMO.

I'd still get the coupe though. I only like convertibles that were designed to be convertibles, not coupes with the top cut off.


EDIT : I still want the link to the maker of that "I'm so JDM" sticker, I'd totally rock that on my cars.

Well, you can clearly see the Michigan Dealer plate on it... so it's obviously a tester car, a preproduction version possibly.


And going to the BBQ is free publicity to say the least, get the people of the world to post pictures, talk about it, discuss it.

yeah red i was thinking the same thing. i thought wow somebody saved up for some serious brakes and wheels and then i saw the next pic and realized that it was a Z06.

but wow i must say honestly those are the nicest cavaliers i've ever seen. those cars looks better most of the 240's i've seen in meets. and they got the balls to back up the looks as it appears. would a cobalt ss be considered a j body also or no?
