'98 Prism driver's window issue

I have the LSI with the "auto" power drivers window. Whenever the window is lowered, either in auto or even partially opened manually, the window only goes back up in 1" increments, requiring a 30-60 second minimum wait for the next 1" rise. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. email replies greatly appreciated.

I had the same thing happen to me. I eventually replaced the window motor in the door. Trying to do it myself was a pain so I had a shop take care of it. No problems since.

by the way - eventually the motor will stop working completely and you'll have a heck of a time getting the window back up
