Vid of 99 Z28 Turbo versus Ninja ZX7R

These are two of my buddies going at it. The guy in the Z28 had previously raced an Yamaha R6 and lost, but dialed up the boost for his run against the ZX7R.

The Z28 just recently dynoed at 520+whp.

Please tell me what you think:

yeah after alittle bit, the bike doesn't have enough power to beat the drag from wind so a more powerful car can out acelerate it.

how fast there they go? from what speed to what speed?

Re: Vid of 99 Z28 Turbo versus Ninja ZX7R

I believe the race was from 70-140. The guy with the turbocharged Z28 left the stock 3.42 gearing on his car. Also with bike's they tell me that there is no hesitation once you hit the throttle, unlike a car. I dunno if that is really true or not.

Re: Vid of 99 Z28 Turbo versus Ninja ZX7R

Bikes just have really good gearing... and can pull 10,000+rpm in each gear... so they just keep building and building and building power... and accelerating and accelerating. It's amazing what 150 or so horsepower can do with the right gearing and little weight.

It seems like the TurboZ28 wasn't in the power band? Bike got an aweful good jump on him.
