Pulling my trailer tent with my Caravan 92
I have a Caravan 92 3.3L with 120 K miles. I had my transmission checked last year (they soldered the “pin”…).
Except the ABS that do not work since many years, the van is doing relatively well! I would like to use it again this year to pull my trailer tent. I have done it for four years without any problems, beside the fact that the motor has no a lot of guts anymore and the weight on the hitch makes the front of the van to lift a little bit. By the way, the van is equipped with transmission oil cooler and the trailer tent has electrical brakes (Coleman Cheyenne 2000). Is my van too old for this? Usually, when do we consider a van too old to pull a trailer tent? Is tehre a lot of old Caravan 92 still pulling trailer tents? What could happen? Thanks, Chuck |

Re: Pulling my trailer tent with my Caravan 92
You should have no problem pulling a Cheyenne. We owned a Cheyenne before we bought a Utah and had no problems whatsoever. You should, however, make sure you have your transmission serviced every 15,000 miles if you tow stuff on a regular basis.
