Retrofitting A/C
I have a 91 sentra with 1.6 liters. My AC is not cold. I want to retrofit my system to be able to use R-134A. I bought the fittings. Has anyone done this? Basically I need to know how much Oil and R134 to use. There is a little bit of air in the lines. I released some of to check to see if there was any. Any help will be appreciated and useful.

Re: Retrofitting A/C
get it done by a shop. it costs more but your system will never be very effective or problem free otherwise. you cant just replace the fittings and expect ice cold air. the compressor, condenser, and other systems are different, and every seal used is made of different material.

Re: Retrofitting A/C
I went againts the advice of slideways and retrofitted my system. It has been about 2 weeks and no problems. The air is very cold. If I have any problems I will keep all updated.

Re: Retrofitting A/C
I retro fitted my system over 3 years ago. The air is still cold and no problems with the A/C at all.
