Jet Engine

i generally dont like the sound of exhausts, but what i do like is the sounds the engine and the turbo make when boosting

i want to go for the "jet engine" kind of sound, so what components do you guys think i should include when making a custom turbo/cat-back exhaust...
i like these mufflers:

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=386

i really like the dual tips, so which would be quieter 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, or 4 inch outlets?

Re: Jet Engine

My car has a 3" straight pipe and you can hear the turbo at idle. When i get the stroker kit i might bo for a 4" exhaust.

Why? You won't out flow a 3" with anything that is very streetable, and if your building a track car why build an exhaust, just dump it in front of the wheel.

Re: Jet Engine

Mostly just to say it has a 4" exhaust, it depends on how much all the piping would cost.

Re: Jet Engine

Sound is way more the engine than just the muffler. A good sounding car will sound good with basically any muffler and a shitty sounding car will sound shitty with any muffler. $150 is WAY too fuckin much for a damn 17" x 6" tube with a 3" pipe on one side and a 4" on the other. Buy one of those crazy no name ones, it will do you just as good.

i'm not just gonna buy a muffler lol

i was thinking more 3" tback and then magnaflow muffler, just wanted to know if it was necessary to add or keep parts in exhaust (cat. converter, resonator, silencer) to get the exhaust quiet enough to just hear the engine roar and the turbo spool up...
