Completed: 2nd gen Pajero/Montero...real dirrrrrrty
This'd be my first post in showing what I did, since i did stumble onto my links for this one just a few minutes ago while sifting through my work email (hehehe). got the chance to pick up about last january a 1/24 aoshima 2nd gen mitsubishi pajero/montero and being a bit frustrated that our gen2.5 pajero/montero is only in 4x2 config, i just decided to muddy this one up for kicks using a lot of tamiya putty.
and i found some in-progress pics as well, so i'll paste them too.here's the pics. sorry for the quality though, the digicam decided to kick the bucket and i just used a nokia 3650 for taking pics. let's go for the in-progress first. sprayed a basecoat of silver on the body in preparation for a gunmetal coat. ![]() after the gunmetal coat. ![]() interior and floorpan. i randomly mixed some field blue, blue, gray, and white...and luckily for me, i got the actual JDM leather color of blue-gray (got to verify this after i got to take a ride inside a friend's JDM pajero) as our local (philippine market) leather is in a gray color. ![]() another shot. ![]() the dash. was actually thinking of converting it to LHD from RHD but i decided otherwise. the conversion will happen when i get another kit to convert the gen2 body to gen2.5. ![]()

completed pic...without any weathering, just polished. too bad it was taken using artificial lighting and the 3650 couldn't get it all.
![]() ![]() now the fun part, got to muddy it all up. ![]() ![]() ![]() and for kicks, i did a small replica of our club sticker (see the logo over at www.mymitsuph.com) ![]() i'll try to post more of my kits when i got a new cam.

That looks pretty sweet. Get some outdoor pictures when you can.
Did you mask off the wiper areas? |

Re: Completed: 2nd gen Pajero/Montero...real dirrrrrrty
steve: i completely forgot to mask off the wiper areas. using an airbrush, i sprayed car thinner on it...then realized that it was eating the plastic. oh well. it still looked a bit muddy like the wiper hasn't taken the mud off.
![]() cham: it's an aoshima one. frustrated that i had a chance way back a year ago to pick up a tamiya one (with moving spring rear suspension while the aoshima had a solid one) but didnt ![]() found another pic. ![]() ![]()
