Please help me out.
OK people get ready for something that has mad me insane. So I drive me 1991 eruo lumina and after driving my car around, I shut my car off and go buy a coffee before I start work. I go to my car and nothing, the car wont do any no kicking when I start it or anything. So I try and kick start the starter with a screw driver and the cylinoid is toast on it. So I then replace the starter, start the car and everything is cool again. However I had to disconnect my battery, so the car idles high until it can go back to normal again.
However I'm driving it and my dash starts going all wierd and then stero starts doing a loud pumping sound I turn it off. The car stalls and wont turn on, it trys to kick but not enough juice. Take my battery to part source, they say bad battery. I buy a new battery the car fired up and is even ok with the idling. I then go to the bank the next day and what happen? The exact samething only instead my dash says ingoing 160 when I'm only going 60 max, and it starts to trip out stalls and then won't kick again. I'm thinking altinator, so I take it out and they run the tes and it says it's fine, I get a new battery and now it's running fine again.....however dont know how long this will last anyone know whats going on? Also I had stailite radio hooked up right to the battery, and the deck was stolen. I was using this one. http://shop.sirius.com/edealinv/serv...7870&scId=7875 Then the deck was stolen but not the wires and shit. So I use this deck with the old wires from an old deck I had without the wires you can tell the wires dont go with the unit, and this has kinda happened since I put it in. |

Re: Please help me out.
Sounds like the kind of weirdness a shorted battery or bad ground usually causes...

Re: Please help me out.
I agree with Jeff, it sounds like a bad ground strap or battery connection. Don't just check the ends of the cables, look at the wire itself. It's common for the battery cables to corrode internally and cause electrical issues.
