seal belt tensisoner
I bought a 2001 Caravan SE in 2005 but befeore I bought it the air bag light kept coming on. THe dealer addressed then problem by replacing a "seat belt tensioner". A year later the light has come on (NOT often) while driving...this morning it did and I unbuckled my seat belt and rebuckled it and the light went out. Coincidence or not I am not sure. What I wonder is how concerned should I be....IF the seat belt is NOT buckled in properly can THAT make the airbag light come on AND/// can the aiur bag possibly deploy??? Can anyone give me any advice.......I would really appreciate it.
Thank yoiu..Lansdowne. |

Re: seal belt tensisoner
possibly a bad connection with the seat belt buckle wiring harness. Best bet is to take it back to the dealership so they can figure out exactly the problem. When the airbag light is on, there is a chance if you hit a big enough bump that the airbag will deploy.. i've seen it happen. I believe there was a recall on the seat belt tensioner a year or so ago.
