Getting power door locks installed (already have alarm)
I just bought a 99 Hyundai Elantra. It has an alarm with remote, but the door locks (4 door) are still manual - the remote only controls the alarm. I would now like to make them power door locks, controlled by the remote as well (there is another button on the remote that, as of now, does nothing). Installing it myself is not an option, as I am not good with cars and would not want to risk messing anything up. Would I have to bring the car back to the dealer to get this done? If not, where could I bring it - I really have no idea what sorts of places do this kind of work. Also, about how much would it cost. Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Getting power door locks installed (already have alarm)
Is it a factory alarm or an aftermarket alarm like viper or something. If it's aftermarket I had a viper alarm on my truck a few years ago and they said they could change the manual locks and windows to power locks and windows and it would all be able to be controlled by the remote in addition to the normal interior controls. If it's factory alarm then I'd take it to the dealership as alot of companies that put alarms in don't know much about factory alarms except how to disable them. I'd check at circuit city as they were the ones that installed mine and said it could be done, don't know how much it would cost as I never did it on mine.
