wiring back door speaker on a 97'
anybody have a diagram on how to wire the back door speakers to the radio.
My blazer didn't come with back speakers, and I don't want to have to drill my own hole to get the wiring done... HELP thanks

Re: wiring back door speaker on a 97'
I have not dealt with a Blazer without factory rear speakers, but I would not be surprised if the wiring is actually already there. Many vehicle makes and models have existing, fuctioning speaker/radio connnections even if no speakers or radio exist. Look for a brown and yellow pair on the driver's side, and a dark blue and light blue pair on the pasenger side (sometimes this side is also brown/yellow past the door boot). The Brown and the Dark Blue are the positives, the yellow and light blue are the negatives.
Even if the wiring does not exist inside the door, it may exist on the vehicle side of the door boot. In any case, you should be able to snake wires through the factory door boot with a little effort and not having to drill any extra holes. A sturdy piece of wire, such as a cutting off of a coat hanger, can be useful to get the wire through the boot. |

Re: wiring back door speaker on a 97'
the door should have a boot where the doorlock wireing runs .. run the speaker wire threw that if you dont already have wires running into door.
