Re: blower help

Are you just wanting to replace it for the heck of it?

The blower is located on the passenger side of the dash underneith. You'll have to remove the panel to gain access to it.

Re: blower help

I've got a '96 T.S. and I'm in the middle of a heater motor replacement myself. Looked pretty simple. 5 phillips screws and it's out. Oh wait, now there's stuff in the way that keeps me from pullin' the little darlin' from it's hole. Now I'm looking through this sight hoping to find out if I'm to disassemble the inside of the car to remove the impeller blade first?... or do I start ripping off innocent spark plug wire connections...then just to find something else that needs to be taken off to get this heater/impeller assembly pryed out. Oh yes, let's not forget to give thanks to the designers who put the firewall 40 feet away from the bumper.

Did the original poster get the lil' pup replaced yet?

Re: blower help

I haven't got to go there on my '93 but those who did and talked of it of this forum got the motor and blower out in one piece without undue dismantling; this is true for Bonnevilles and similar series of that vintage too.
NOw '96 is with the 3.4: this is a 60° engine (compared to the 90° 3.8) and it probably towers higher and I do not have these specs....and the '98 referenced at the beginning of this thread is a totally different model after the '97 return to sheet metal.
