Re: 00-05 celica WTF?

My 2000 GT-S has black leather interior. But all the other info seems to be correct.

He's not talking about the seats.. he's talking about the panels, dash etc. 03+ are black instead of gray.

Re: 00-05 celica WTF?

The engines are the same w\ minor changes in the rev limiter and throttle system. However the 2000- 2001 2zzge engine has been known to be kind problematic. Other than the TSB's, the engines are all the same. Same Hp and torque.

Re: 00-05 celica WTF?

Basically the rev limit and throttle body set up matters if you intend on doing lots of engine mods. If I recall correctly, DBW system is not compatible with the PFC for engine tuning. The lower rev limit makes it harder to land in the power band while shifting on the GTS. 00-01 have the higher rev limit but historically the lift bolts in the early 2zz engines were prone to wearing and breaking. There are write ups on how to change those, and the bolts themselves are quite inexpensive but it may take a bit of technical expertise and about an hour or so to change them out. If that's not a big deal then the earlier GTS models should be a fairly reliable car.
