Do Not Buy Turbogarage.com's 2G Intake Heat Shield

Its a Chincy, half assed peice of sheat metal cut with a dremal that has rigged edges, unpersice cuts, and Just ain't worth $40. VERY Unsatisfied right now. Took 4 weeks to ship, and came without the rubber slip-on for the top.

That sucks... someone made the one in my Talon from 1/2 plastic and 4 hinges. I took that shit out and broke it in frustration.

Just need a nice ram air hood and filter like on newer Trans Ams, then hot air would never be a problem.

That would be some awesome custom fabrication... lol

Yeah, custom as in; get my cutting tool out an cut a fucking chunk out of my hood and a ram scoop on. That would be so Spokane, Wa. I'm suprised I havn't seen one. You just sparked an Idea. I'm going to see if my friend is upto wanting to try it on his 1g.

Naahh, I'd just take my passenger side headlight out if it was a big deal.

Re: Do Not Buy Turbogarage.com's 2G Intake Heat Shield

I built one from a 4 dollar piece of sheet metal I got from Home Depot. I used a drill, and some tin snips. Mind you it's not the prettiest thing in the world but it does indeed work and the temperatures are lowered. I used the stuff they wrap pipes in for the lip edge on the top.

They probably made one took measurements and hand make the rest. It did take me 2 hours to do but thats because there are no dimensions anywhere online and I had to install, cut some, reinstall, cut more... till it sat perfectly.
