Air Intake Duct

This is embarassing and I never thought I'd have to ask this but here it goes. I am trying to take off my air intake hose so I took off the clamp and tried to take off the hose but it wouldn't come off. How do I take it off please I need clear directions.

Re: Air Intake Duct

The large black accordian looking duct, connecting the airbox to the throttle body?

If that is what you are talking about, take off the clamp, then grab the duct near the "base" at the throttle body, and pull at an angle like you have never pulled before, it is really held on there, but it truely just pulls off.

Re: Air Intake Duct

Pull back on the rubber flange that is around the throttle body... Kind of like a peeling action to get it off the ridge that holds it onto the throttle body... If it's the 3.8L engine also unplug the IAT sensor...
