wont turn over, need help with gauges too

my car is a 95 neon coupe with a 98 dohc motor, computer and wiring harness and it was running great and all of a sudden wont turn over at all, ive checked everything, the fuses, relays, wiring and i know that the starter is good because i just recently put it in. second problem, i bought an autometer 5 inch tachometer, air/fuel ratio, water temp, and oil pressure gauges and am having trouble with them, the tachometer always jumps to where the shift light is set but sometimes works fine, second issue that im having is that the air/fuel gauge stays lit up all the time, even with the key off, ive hooked the ignition lead to 3 different switched ignition sources and i keep having the same problem, any help would be great. thanx for your time

Well, that could be a bad transponder signal from the chip in your key, or just a bad connection somewhere leading to your starter, or from your ECU, harnesses, etc.

Does it have a "Recall" gauge? Most Autometer 5" tachs have recalls on them to display the last highest RPM during a run. It can be adjustable with the shift light. There should be a recall and a reset feature for it... depending on the model I would just look in the booklet that came with the gauge to figure out exactly how to fine-tune it.

I used the Autometer air/fuel gauge in my two previous cars. It uses very low amperage, so even if it stays on contstatly, it will never be enough to ever drain your battery. But, you can maybe try wiring the positive lead to the ignition in the steering column, or maybe one of the leads in the dash. I had an aftermarket stereo in my last car, so I used the amp-on lead wire from the CD player as the positive power source for it which made it easier. But either way, the LED's in the gauge display suck almost no real power, so I wouldn't worry too much if it stays on.
