2005 -- How easy is it to change the oil?

Anyone?

The wife's 2005 Odyssey is about due for an oil change. Instead of taking it to the Honda shop, I thought about changing it myself.

I'm kind of a do-it-yourselfer and I'm thinking about switching to a good synthethic this time.

Just curious how easy it is to get to the drain plug and oil filter (I would look myself, but the wife is out cruising around).

Is suspect it is like all Hondas - the filter is located on the backside and is hard to get at from above, but easy from below....sorry I can't be more specific, but no one else had replied!

I change my own oil ...I have changed my own oil since I went to pick up my car after an oil change at the quicky place and the BUSY attendant had FORGOTTEN TO PUT IN THE NEW OIL ! I had a red light there on the dash when I started my car ! Lucky it was still in the Bay and ran only about five seconds before I spotted the light ! Still I was VERY unhappy !

An oil change only takes me a few minutes to do so I save driving and waiting time , I do the oil change at my convenience , I do save money on the oil change , I do save gas , I do check and service things the oil change guys usually don't , I KNOW I got the best oil and filter , AND most of all I know it was all done right !!

The old oil I take to Autozone they will take up to 5 gallons and it is disposed of properly ...
