Mini Truck Contest

I am Kinda new to this forum.. I have spent maybe an hour looking over all the models looks like alot of JDM and other import stuff. with alot of detail.. I was wondering if anyone would be Intrested in a Mini truck contest. Building a Mini truck model I think wouls be kinda challenging due to the rear set up with the Air bags or Hydros the custom frame work and Frame bridge. Mini trucks also are known for crazy body work an paint jobs. Tucking big rims laying frame or (Never tried this on a model) A body drop so the Rock panels are on the ground.. Any one intrested

Re: Mini Truck Contest

Theres a few of us on here that build mini trucks. Thats about all i build are minitrucks and mini inspired rides. Wish i could get in on this but I havent touched plastic in about 8 months. Been in the middle of a remodel so all my stuff is packed up. Good luck with the contest..

Re: Mini Truck Contest

Build contests are notoriously hard get participation in. Even the big contests here like the annual MOTY often have poor showings, even though it's open to everyone. Usually, a contest will be suggested, and a bunch of people will say, "yeah, that sounds cool". Of those, half will declare intent to build when the contest starts. Wait 4 to 6 months for the contest to conclude, and one in four of those people will actually have a build to enter. The more specific the category, the fewer people will enter. The 80's contest is already showing signs of a disappointing turnout, and it's open to everything from F1 to rally to Nascar and dragsters.

Maybe what you should consider is a group build. Get three or four interested people, and build simultaneously. That way you don't have to worry about if you have enough other people participate to do a contest.

Re: Mini Truck Contest

Hello SwiftyR, i am a big truck and minitruck enthusiast both in scale and in 1:1 I am currently working on a few projects including my replica of my 1:1 custom ranger. Unfortunatly i am waiting on some items that are delaying all my builds but i think if you want to set up a contest or a group build and have a later end date i should make it in time. Count me in
