How long will will this job take?

I'm just wondering what the estimated time frame would be for changing my head gasket, having never done it before, but with the help of a haynes manual and a friend or two. It's a 2.3: DOHC engine. I'm hoping I can get it done tomorrow after work.

If you have never done one before, plan on taking a whole day, there is quite a bit of work ahead of you. Just make sure when you reinstall you clean both mating surfaces extremly well, and tighten everything to spec. Also make sure you have the timing exact. Measure twice, install once.

Yeah its worth it to set aside some time for anything you are doing to a vehicle, rushing is the worst thing to do, thats how stuff gets broken and installed improperly. Good luck
