suspension problem?

okay, so bought a 99 civic ex 2 years ago. it had pretty generic coilovers...i think they were type x (pepboys or autozone or something) anyways, in cold weather my rear drivers side shock and or coil feels like its almost broken. The smallest bump feels like its bottoming out?? any ideas? i think i should replace the shocks and coils? brands??

Probably the shocks. Chances are it's on the stock ones and ANY lowering spring or coilover sleeve will kill them quickly.

He couldn't help it being used and all. But the previous owner, not doing the shocks at the sametime was a bad move. Always replace all together.
