Car running like shit and running rich
Hey guys, whats up? Okay so heres the thing. I recently been shit on by my car and i did a diagnostic test on it and it said there was a MAF malfunction. I bought a used one for $50 at a junkyard and still the same problem. However, it does seem to be running just a tad better. Does anyone know what it could be? I mean the car smells really bad from the rich burning of fuel.

you probably replaced a bad MAS with another bas mas. However, it could also be your 02 sensor is shot so the ecu puts your fuel trims into "safe mode" and runs like shit.

I had the same problem that you did but mine ended up being the number 2 injector was leaking fuel....you might want to pull the plugs and double check them.
