2006 sierra windshield noise

I own a z71 crew cab that has a noise that sounds like sand hitting the windshield. It's more pronounced when it is a windy day and you are going faster than 50 mph. The dealer says it is the bug shield I installed. I will remove it to see if this is it but has anyone else heard of this?

I had the same problem. Would not buy until they fixed it. Dealer researched it and found direction from GM. They replaced windshield trim and in my case the windshield. Much better.

Re: 2006 sierra windshield noise

I had to tell them their kit # so that they would fix it. But they did and I do not have that problem anymore..... thanks!
