Re: maybe they should try this

I think they should just come up with a good way to keep their vehicles out of the warranty department!

Quality and reliability should be the first priority for GM... Then they can focus on the shape of the sheet metal... Otherwise no matter how sexy they make the car look nobody will buy one...

The Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry are butt ugly cars but people buy them because they just run and run with little problems....

Re: maybe they should try this

Gems, very true! My brother in law who can get GM employee discount (because of his grandfather) looked at a lot of GM vehicles. They liked the set up of the Trailblazer but with it being plagued with problems and the price of it they bought Toyota Highlander.

I was just going over my Silverado. I can't complain too much. It's been a decent vehicle. It's got about 67k on the clock. I meticulously keep it clean and make sure all of the maintenance is up to date. I just noticed over teh weekend that the bottom of the rear doors are rotting out!!! I can't believe it because I clean it and even shoot oil in the weep holes.

That problem isn't just GM though. I traded my 02 Jeep Liberty last summer and it was rotting around the rear window from the inside out. I know that new salt pretreater they use here in Ohio has alot to do with that but still, cars should last longer than they do now.
