Sway bar links on 93 Grand Am

I replaced the sway bar end links on my Grand Am, the problem is now I hear and feel a clicking noise when I hit a bump. My question is how tight should I have tightened the links, all the way till it won't turn anymore or is there another way?

Re: Sway bar links on 93 Grand Am

They should be as tight as possible to prevent them from moveing under pressure from the sway bar. Make sure that they are installed properly that the rubber pads are positioned correctly so that you don't get metal to metal contact. Also make sure the frame mounts are solid as well.
