Honda parts interchange
I have an 88 CRX Si I'm rebuilding. I want a lighter flywheel and much stickier clutch.
My first question is this: the CRX and del Sol are almost the same powertrain. Would a flywheel and cluch for a del Sol fit a CRX without a problem? Second question: Has anyone heard of 'Clutch Masters' before? www.clutchmasters.com I'm sure they wear quicker by alot, but does CM make a good product? |

Re: Honda parts interchange
No. Not without a tranny swap. It would fit with any other year tranny but the one you have. Sucks doesn't it? Your tranny's input shaft has 21 splines, whereas all the other years have 20. Your only option is to find an 88 crx clutch, and there is very much aftermarket support for it either.
If you don't mind swapping your tranny for an 89-91 version, you can fit the del sol clutch in there just fine....actually any 89-95 clutch will fit, maybe even 96-00, im just not sure off the top of my head.
